We saw Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s latest film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. In it we saw in the opening titles and credits scene, Dharmendra actors name has been written as Dharmendra Singh Deol. This is for the first time in his six decade long career in the film industry.
Right from his first film Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere in 1960 to his last film so far Rocky air Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, Dharmendra has used his name as Dharmendra itself without using the surname.
Unlike his sons, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol who used to retain their surname whenever it comes to their name in the film credits. Dharmendra Singh Deol (now) was born to Satwant Kaur and Kewal Kishan Singh Deol in 1935. His birthday is on December 8th. He was born and brought up in Punjab. He migrated to Bombay to pursue a career in acting.
Dharmendra Deol will next be seen in Sriram Raghavan film (name is not yet announced) in which Amitabh Bachchan grandson Agastya Nanda is starring.
